A project is where your team’s work lives. Each project holds task lists, each list holds tasks, and you can view everything five different ways — kanban for sprints, timeline for roadmaps, workload for capacity. Built-in analytics mean you always know exactly where things stand.

Creating a project

1

Click New project

In the left sidebar, click + next to Projects — or go to Projects in the top nav and select New project.
2

Name your project

Give it a clear, specific name. Add a description and pick a color or icon so it’s easy to spot at a glance.
3

Choose a workspace

Assign it to a team space to share it with your team, or keep it personal.
4

Add task lists

Organize work into phases, categories, or sprints using task lists. A default list is created automatically.
All plans include unlimited projects. No caps.

Project views

Switch between views any time using the selector at the top of the project. Your preference is saved per project.
A structured, sortable list of every task in the project. Filter and group by assignee, priority, due date, or any custom field. The best starting point for most teams.
Timeline and Workload views require a plan upgrade. You’ll see a prompt to upgrade when switching to these views on a lower plan.

Task lists

Task lists group work inside a project — by phase, feature area, sprint, or whatever fits your workflow.
  • Click + Add list to create a new list
  • Drag lists to reorder them
  • Collapse lists you’re not actively working on
  • Move tasks between lists by dragging or using the task’s context menu

Team spaces

Team spaces group related projects together and make them visible to everyone in that space.

Create a team space

Go to Settings → Team spaces and click New space. Invite members and assign projects.

Manage access

Set spaces to open — anyone in the workspace can join — or restricted for invite-only access.

Analytics

Every project has a built-in analytics panel. No setup required.
Completed tasks as a percentage of total tasks, tracked over time. See if your team’s velocity is climbing or stalling.
A live breakdown of To-do, In progress, Completed, and Overdue — as a chart or table.
How many tasks are past their due date. Click through to reassign or extend deadlines directly.
How work is distributed across your team. Catch uneven load before it becomes a problem.
Detailed exports, trend charts, and time tracking breakdowns at the project level. Business plan. See Time Tracking for more.

Custom workflows

On the Business plan, define custom task states and transition rules per project. Replace the default To-do → In progress → Completed flow with something that actually matches how your team works — like Backlog → Design → Review → Shipped.
Custom workflows are per project. Your engineering and design projects can have completely different state structures without affecting each other.
