The AI Copilot is what makes Fluorine different. It doesn’t sit in a sidebar waiting to be asked questions — it actively participates in your workspace, reading conversations, understanding context, and taking action. Tasks get created and assigned automatically. Meetings turn into action items. Every morning you see exactly what needs your attention. Your team spends less time managing work and more time doing it.

What the AI Copilot does

Auto task creation

Reads your team conversations and creates tasks automatically when it detects commitments, requests, or action items — assignee and due date already filled in.

Voice to task

Speak your instructions and Fluorine creates, assigns, and schedules the task. No typing, no context switching.

Smart summaries

Condenses meetings, long threads, and project updates into decisions and next steps — automatically.

Semantic search

Search across messages, tasks, and files in plain language. Ask “what did we decide about the homepage redesign?” and get a direct answer.

Daily intelligence digest

Every morning — overdue tasks, blocked work, upcoming deadlines, and anything your team flagged overnight. All in one place.

Productivity insights

Peak productivity windows, overload signals, and blocker resolution tracking so you can improve how your team works over time.

Autonomous agent

Handles routine tasks and reminders on your behalf. Say “remind the team about the client presentation Friday” and Fluorine takes care of it.

Auto task creation from conversations

The AI Copilot monitors your team channels in the background. When it detects something that needs to be done — a request, a commitment, a follow-up — it creates a task automatically. It doesn’t just extract text. It understands context:
  • Who should own the task, based on who was addressed or who has handled similar work before
  • When it should be done, inferred from phrases like “by end of week” or “before the launch”
  • What project it belongs to, based on the channel and recent conversation
Every auto-created task links back to the message it came from so anyone can trace why it exists.
Auto-created tasks appear in a Review queue before they’re added to your project. Approve, edit, or dismiss each one. This keeps the AI from cluttering your workspace with noise.

Voice to task

Press the microphone button in the toolbar — or use Cmd+Shift+V / Ctrl+Shift+V — and say something like:
“Create a task for Marcus to finalize the pitch deck by Thursday and assign it high priority.”
Fluorine creates the task, sets Marcus as the assignee, sets the due date, marks it high priority, and confirms — all in under three seconds. Voice to task works anywhere: during a meeting, while reviewing a brief, or when you’re away from the keyboard thinking out loud. It understands natural speech, informal phrasing, relative dates like “next Tuesday,” and first names.

Smart summaries

After a meeting, a long async thread, or a project update, Fluorine generates a summary automatically. It identifies:
  • Key decisions made during the conversation
  • Action items and who owns them
  • Open questions that still need resolution
  • Next steps the team agreed on
Summaries attach to the relevant task or channel thread and can be shared or exported. Trigger one manually on any thread by clicking Summarize in the channel options menu.
Use smart summaries after every client call. The summary becomes the source of truth for what was agreed, and action items become tasks automatically.
Fluorine’s search understands meaning, not just keywords. Ask in plain English:
  • “What’s the status of the rebrand project?”
  • “Find the feedback Sarah gave on the landing page copy”
  • “Show me all tasks assigned to Jordan due this week”
  • “What files did we share with the client in March?”
Search covers messages, tasks, comments, files, and attachments across your entire workspace. Results are ranked by relevance and recency — not just text match.

Daily intelligence digest

Every morning, Fluorine sends each team member a personalized digest of what needs their attention.
All tasks assigned to you with a due date of today, sorted by priority.
Tasks past their due date that are still open. Flagged prominently so nothing lingers unnoticed.
Tasks you’re waiting on — either because of an unfinished dependency or a blocker flagged by a teammate.
Key updates from your channels overnight — decisions made, tasks completed, anything flagged for your attention.
Based on your workload and deadline proximity, Fluorine suggests where to start your day for maximum impact.
Delivered as an in-app notification and optionally via email. Configure timing and content under Settings → AI Copilot → Daily digest.

Productivity insights

Peak productivity windows

Identifies when each team member gets the most done so you can protect deep work time and schedule meetings around it.

Team overload signals

Flags team members with more assigned work than capacity can absorb — before it shows up as missed deadlines.

Blocker resolution stats

Tracks how long blocked tasks stay blocked and how fast your team resolves dependencies. Useful for retrospectives.

Average task duration

Compares estimated versus actual time on tasks so your team can write better estimates. Works with time tracking.
Productivity insights are available on Pro and Business plans. Starter plan gets the daily digest and auto task creation.

Autonomous agent

Give the AI Copilot instructions in plain language through the message bar or voice:
  • “Remind the team about the client presentation Friday at 3pm”
  • “Move all incomplete design tasks to next sprint”
  • “Update the homepage task to In progress and let the team know”
  • “When the brand guidelines task is completed, create a follow-up for Marcus to update the website”
The agent confirms what it’s about to do before taking action — you stay in control while it handles the repetitive work.
The autonomous agent can modify tasks, send messages, and create reminders on your behalf. Review the confirmation dialog carefully before approving actions that affect multiple tasks or team members.

Configuring AI Copilot

Go to Settings → AI Copilot to control how the assistant behaves in your workspace.
1

Set monitored channels

Choose which channels the AI Copilot watches for auto task creation. Enable or disable monitoring per channel.
2

Configure task review preferences

Decide whether auto-created tasks go straight to a project or wait in the review queue. The review queue is recommended until you trust the AI’s judgment in your context.
3

Set digest preferences

Choose delivery time, content sections, and whether you want email delivery alongside in-app notifications.
4

Manage agent permissions

Control what the autonomous agent can do without confirmation — message sending, task creation, task updates, or all of the above.
