Invite team members
Send an invitation
Click Invite members, enter email addresses separated by commas, select a role, and send. You can invite multiple people at once.
Team members cannot sign up independently — they must be invited by a workspace admin.
Roles and permissions
- Starter
- Pro
- Business
Foundational access controls. Designate members as admins or standard members — no custom roles or per-project permission configuration.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access to workspace settings, members, billing, and all projects |
| Member | Access to assigned projects — cannot manage settings or invite others |
Change a member’s role
Remove a member
Removing a member doesn’t delete their contributions, comments, or task history. Everything they worked on stays visible in the workspace.
Tips for larger teams
Define your role structure before inviting people
Define your role structure before inviting people
Decide which roles you’ll use before you start inviting. Retroactively adjusting roles across a large team is painful. Document what each role can do so new admins apply the same standard.
Limit admin access
Limit admin access
Only grant Admin or Super Admin to people who genuinely need to manage settings or billing. For most team leads, Manager with project-level control is enough.
Audit your members list regularly
Audit your members list regularly
Review Members after contractor engagements or team changes and remove anyone who no longer needs access. On Business, use audit logs to track who accessed what.
Use guest access for external collaborators
Use guest access for external collaborators
Guest roles let you share specific projects with clients, contractors, or partners without giving them broad workspace access. Keep guest access scoped to only what they need.
Business: create named roles that match your org
Business: create named roles that match your org
If your team uses titles like “Designer” or “Account Manager” with consistent responsibilities, create custom roles with those names. Makes it faster for admins to assign the right permissions at a glance.
